Hair transplant is the relocating, or transplanting of healthy hair follicles from what is called donor areas. Donor areas are those which contain healthy hair, usually from the back and sides of the head.

The transplanting mimics the actual growth of hair, so since hair naturally grows in groups of 4, advance techniques find ways to make it look more natural.

The actual procedure begins with the consultation, where the patient’s scalp is analyzed. There will be some discussion following that as to the patient’s preferences and expectations meeting with the doctor’s advice, usually on having single or multiple sessions, and the expected results. Some antibiotics may be prescribed, and the patient is not allowed to use any other hair products, since it may cause side effects on the operated area, or cause bleeding.
