One of the new hair loss treatment products, Scalpmed, is a solution slightly similar to Rogaine, but with additional ingredients. These extra’s give the same effect, with less grease and irritation. Basically, the effective ingredient in Scalp med is a drug called minoxidil, which is FDA approved for treating hair loss, and possibly regrowing hair, or at least keep those still present.

There were issues regarding this product due to its price. It used to be sold for more than 40 dollars, with effects equal to others in the market, with the same efficacy. If it stood at the same price, it would not be worth it. The drop in the price shows better competition in the market, and at that rate, may be considered along with the other hair loss treatments, but will not rank among the top.
