Hair Loss, Common Beliefs, Fact or Myth?
Frequent shampooing of hair causes the hair to fall out.
Myth. Strong shampoos may damage hair strands at a certain point, but does not directly cause the hair fall. Shampooing only takes out the hair that had already fallen out, so don’t settle for dirty hair, with the false assumption it’s responsible for those hair in the sink.
Losing hair during the early 30’s is normal.
Fact. By the time we get pass the age of 20’s, our hair gradually becomes thinner and the follicles less and less. During our 20’s-30, the hair follicles per square centimeter amounts to 615, by the time we get to 50, it drops to 485, and at 80-90, it comes down to a very low 435.
Brush the hair 100 times a day to stimulate blood circulation in the scalp, thus preventing hair loss.
Myth. It does not at any point, prevent hair loss, but in fact, damages and injures the hair follicles when done vigorously.
